Upcoming Message Series – Revelation

Upcoming Message Series

Upcoming Message Series

The Sunday morning teaching ministry at First Christian Church of Chicago will feature messages from the book of Revelation in January, February, and March 2018.
Children eating dragons, powerful angels blasting trumpets and pouring bowls, and numerous multi-headed beasts … earthquakes, giant-sized hail, earth shaking storms, and the war to end all wars. Such are the things of the book of Revelation. What do you do with a book with such fanciful and horrifying creatures and events?
Some people have chosen to take every contemporary news event, and attempt to “decode” the mystery of Christ’s return, while others have simply chosen to ignore the creepy scariness of what they see as Biblical science-fiction.
But what if the message of Revelation isn’t for determining when Christ returns? What if it isn’t intended primarily to scare, but to provide hope? What if it isn’t a book just for the end-times enthusiast or the imaginative reader of science fiction, but the average Christian living the average life in a world that has gone crazy?
In this message series, we will bring the message of Revelation down to earth. In simply language, we will help you see, in the presence of the Lamb, the message of victory, hope, redemption and repentance contained in Revelation’s cryptic images. Yet, we will also clarify the message of challenge and correction that so desperately needs to be heard.
Join us as we unpack the mystery of God’s great grace and sovereignty during this message series.

FCC Men’s Bibles & Bacon

Bibles & Bacon is a monthly men’s Bible Study that seeks to grow men spiritually into strong men of God able to tackle all of the opportunities God lays before us.
Gentlemen, join us on the third Saturday of each month at the FCC building in the Fireside Room at 8:30am for some time growing in fellowship with a breakfast spread put together by some of our find gentlemen. Enter through the NE entrance.
Why a fellowship Bible Study environment to do that? Because we understand that we cannot be strong, godly men by ourselves. We need brothers who will walk the journey with us.
